after 2 days of sheer struggle I'm still without encrypted channels but FTA channels are fine. I've come to a point where I'm about to give up this whole thing .... just gonna give once last go and who knows if it still don't work might even smash the box .. I'm that much frustrated ... this is what I've done so far.
I downloaded the real_magic.rar file which contains 3 folders namely "lib" , "var_bin_emu" and "var_keys" folder. (without quotes)
then I connected the PC and dbox2 and transferred the files on "var_bin_emu" folder (3 files, namely "chmod_these_to_755.txt" , "evocamd" and "mgcamd") from PC to /var/bin/emu/ folder on dbox2. (This folder was empty before I transferred the files)
Then I copied the files on "var_keys" folder on PC (total of 8 files namely "AutoRoll.Key" , "Autoupdate.Key" , "camd_cfg" , "chmod_755_NOT_needed_on_these_files.txt" , "mg_cfg" , "nagraepr7.bin" , "nagraram7.bin" and "nagrarom7.bin") to /var/keys/ folder on dbox2.
I didn't copy the files on "lib" folder.
then I started dbox and left on S*k Sp****2 channel for few minuted but no luck.
then restarted EPG using remote and rebooted the box again still no luck. where have I gone wrong ?? hopefully someone can help me.
(ohh btw I've got the new Commando 10 image)Comment

Open your ftp client (this example is for FileZilla)
find the files located on your dbox evocamd, mgcamd, & libcrypto.so.0.9.7 right click on each one & select File Attributes

Type 755 in the numeric value box & press ok

Once you've done all 4 files reboot your box.
The chmod_755_NOT_needed_on_these_files.txt & chmod_these_to_755.txt are not required on your dbox they are just text files explaining which files you need to chmod.Comment

yes mate I cant thank you enough for this ... that did the trick for me ... finally its working .... thanks again for everyone how helped me. Immensely appreciate all your help.Open your ftp client (this example is for FileZilla)
find the files located on your dbox evocamd, mgcamd, & libcrypto.so.0.9.7 right click on each one & select File Attributes

Type 755 in the numeric value box & press ok

Once you've done all 4 files reboot your box.
The chmod_755_NOT_needed_on_these_files.txt & chmod_these_to_755.txt are not required on your dbox they are just text files explaining which files you need to chmod.
One more quick question, will the dbox automatically update if there is a code change or do I have to change anything for an automatic code update.

I believe that you can get access to your dbox folders by using the ftp client Am I right? OK
remember the folder that you have downloaded fro R/share all you have to do is fTP it to your dbox to Var and replace the the one is in it it contain all you need probably you will be asked to replace the one is currently in it just reply Ok and that's it.
I don't really deal with commando as I don't need it cause the image I have now is working perfectly and stable I don't care about the rest I have the image don for about 1year and a half trouble free freeIf you like my post pleas click on the little button to say thank you.Comment

Now you know why there's a 0 byte file in the /var/bin/emu folder of the magic rar named "chmod_these_to_755.txt", LOL! It's a hint the size of a breezeblock, trying to inform you that certain finishing touches are needed before the files in that folder can actually work!
Similarly, there's another 'pointer' in the /var/keys folder that tells you that NO files in that folder require any chmod treatment.
Cheers- AL
