    DBox2 Connection Problem

    Firstly here's the background stuff...
Got a DBox and successfully flashed it to use the Blade Quad 2x image, but discovered that it was for a satellite dbox, instead of cable.

I tried to reflash the box with a cable Blade Trinity image, and that's where the problems began.

I now can't seem to connect to the box using my FTP software that I used originally to flash it to Blade Quad.

I've setup the DBox network configuration and my laptop network configuration, so that they can see each other and have successfully managed to ping the DBox from my laptop. I'm using a cross-over cable direct from laptop to my DBox.

When ever I try to connect using my FTP software (FileZilla) it refuses the connection, using login credentials; root and dbox2 (also tried dbox and commando). I've even tried to connect in IE and from a DOS prompt, but to no avail.

I've tried turning of my Wireless connection, AV software and firewall, but this doesn't help.

Anyone got any ideas if this image has a different password or something setup to refuse FTP connections?

Quite stuck and ready to pull my hair out at this point, so any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I've just noticed that when I display the network information on the DBox that the network gateway entry seems to be blank, but it configured. Anyone seen this before?

u could try ifa to flash on a correct cable img (no ip addy needed, if u can ping it should work)

or if u got a router try str8 ethernet cable between box and router

    cheers

Tried IPA and it doesn't seem to connect - seems to be stuck on 'Waiting for dbox start' screen. I've never been able to get this to work, that's why I use FTP software.

Not too sure what you mean by "updating", can you explain this in more detail please?
