I have just reflashed my box with commando 6. I have a big prob on reboot. The box locks up on the spinning globe screen and shuts down. I need an ip to access the box for another reflash!! is my box scrap or can I replace the epromms? TIA

you dont need a null modem to flash a box using IFA.

all a null modem does when using IFA with a crossover is tell you in the com window what is happening, however i do recommend using one so you know how far it is in, but not essiential

You are right you can flash a box using a crossover cable only
however a nullmodem cable is not just used to see whats going on
when using a crossover cable IFA sends out only 1 request to the network
when using a crossover with a nullmodem cable IFA sends out 10 requests to the network which is why it usually starts flashing straight away

When you get your null mowdem
                    Run Bootmanager as well
Somnething aint right if it keeps rebooting
                    Post the Bootlog ........Paul
