Just thought i'd share my experiences with novices like me on how to manually change keys:
First question what camd do i have?
No idea whatsoever
so i looked at both files. SoftCam had a nothing in it but keylist.txt did have, so i took it that i have evocamd
1) File to be edited is keylist.txt not the other keylist file
2) Could not edit this file on the dbox (don't know why).
3) Decided to ftp to this directory instead
4) Copied keylist.txt onto my computer
5) Edited the file on my computer
4) Looked at the dates in keylist.txt; kept the latest two files and deleted all the rest
5) kept the two latest files beginning with N 5A01 00 and N 5A01 01
6) got keys from here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ys-here-12850/
7) replaced keys within the keylist file with above (removed spaces first)
8) Saved this 'new' keylist.txt file on my computer
9) Got back into the dbox directory where keylist.txt exists and replaced it with my 'new' keylist.txt file
10)Rebooted dbox and all channels worked
having a file on my pc will help next time the keys are changed, it'll make it easier - less steps to do
hope this helps someone
