pulling my hair out with d2box ethernet

    hi
I am trying to communicate with the d2box throuth ethernet. i have the cable ethernet cable connected. I am using the d2box flash assistant. trying to put the lakey flash on, I have allowed the program through the firewall.
When the flash assistant program runs it waits for the d2box. power the d2box off and back on. program still waits for the d2box,
the ip addresss is set to 192.168.0.0. dhcp set to off
any1 know what i am missing please
If only I had more time that I could waste

when you say IP address is set to 192.168.0.0 - is that for your Dbox ?

how are you connecting to the DBox via a cross over network cable

when using IFA the IP address is assigned via DHCP using ARP - so all you need to do is set the IP address of your computer and NOT the dbox

you need to set your computer with a static IP 192.168.1.3 is what I use - also IFA works if you connect the DBox and your PC using a cross over network cable - as I found connecting over a router/hub/switch doesnt work at all

You need to press blue button and go to set my location, then restart and scan again. It will put the proper settings in for you.

It should have been showing as its in the net id list, choose somewhere close to it.
