cant connect dbox to laptop

hi guys its been that long since i connected my dbox to my laptop i cant get it done right now .

i have flash fxp . can sum1 please tell me what i put in when i go to connect . ip address username etc .

btw...the username is root and password is dbox2 (or if its a commado image the password will be commando)

Need to know what image you have on your box m8, most images (but not all) are user name = root password dbox or dbox2.

Sorry Jaffa M8 that was a bad crossover we must have had the same idea just took me a bit longer to find the PDF in my Lappy, and you were too fast for me. Cheers

do i have to set up a connection on my laptop .

and what about the dhc . sum1 on another post said it needs to be on .

Whitch FTP client you are using M8.

everytime i try it says please specify the password then 530 login incorrect

Have you set up your Local Area Conection correctly?
Are you using XP or Vista Operating System?

its vista im using . i think i have set the connection correct but i konw something doesnt seem right .

when the boxes went down the last time it didnt seem as difficult to connnect the box.

i didnt connect the box again after the last problems incase i done sumthing wron g to the box .

once is done and you are sure of it then I will go through the FTP connection.
If you can download Filezilla it would an advantage to use with Vista.
I use it with my Laptop and Vista Windows, and is always spot on.
I will try to upload Filezilla to the Download section.
