Please calm down and be cool as some times when you lost your control everything goes wrong you are having a technical problem with your dbox not communicating with your laptop someone will help.

can you give more info about the problem M8?

downloaded ftp fix 4 noobs, no pros plus all other sotware to open both down loads, went and got a cross over cable, hav done as instructed ie ip on site manager but cannot connect hav turned of firewall still no joy. sorry but am new to this had a new image flashed about 6 months ago but want to try things 4 myself. im using a laptop (vista) wifi with a sagem box commando 8 image.at the moment can only get free chanels bbc1 etc.

Ok that is fine I am using Laptop, Windows Vista and Filezilla FTP application.

Please find the easy guide for Windows Vista & Filezila FTP Client. I hope this will help danjo.

cheers 4 the info mate went in easy only problem now it says could not connect to server econnrefused. connection refused by server?? . one more thing about the ip u say -1 so i take it if its 110 it becomes 109?

Yes that is correct EX: Dbox IP: 192.168.110
Local area connection will be : 192.168.109

Server here reffer's to Dbox.

are you using Filezilla FTP if so in Host line should read:

Host: 192.168.1.110
Servertype: FTP-File Transfer Protocol
Logontype: Normal
Username: root
Password: dbox

Ok lets go to the bottom of this problem. just answer my questions please:

are you conneced dbox direct to your laptop or to the wireless router?

are you using crossover lead?
