Dbox2 problem

I am trying to ftp into my dbox 2 with Flashfxp. I have set the dbox's ip to 192.168.100.200 and my computer's local ares network to 192.168.100.100. I am then going to the sites tab then site manager on flashfxp. I then enter the ip of the dbox in the ip address and the user name as root and paswword as dbox2 and hit connect. But it is not connecting.

It cant be the lead as it is a brand new cross over cable. First time used.

Any help appreciated.

hi try set you pc to 198.168.1.10 and your box to 192.168.1.11
username root password dbox
worked fine for me hope it does for you

I tend to always use the same on, pc 192.168.0.3 dbox 192.168.0.024...Maybe try changing them m8,to see if its that issue thats causing it....

I have noticed that but he said "I have set dbox IP" when you flash a new image it come with it's own IP any interference with that IP can cause mal function.

i have tried to flash with dbox own ip setting and have allways got no link when i changed it to the one in the earlier post it works fine but that just might be my dbox

DONT KNOW ABOUT PHILL BUT I GOT MINE UP AND RUNNING TONIGHT
AFTER LOADS OF FLASHES STARTED TO DO MY HEAD IN IF THE LAST FLASH HADNT OF WORKED IT WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE WINDOW

Ok I have eventually got connected to my box after much messing. I had to use different ip addresses. I tried three on each and they was all one less than each other so dont know what was going on there. I then transfered the nagrarom 7 to my box and deleted all the other nagrarom file e.g 3,7,11,10. I am now doing a full scan. Hope this works !

Yip,it should work fine m8.Aslong as you havent deleted the one you just FTP'd over .....

I just read before you should only delete the nagrarom files that end in 10,11. I have deleted the one what ended in 3 as well as I got told to by someone. Have I done right or wrong by deleting this nagrarom 3 ?

To be honest with you won't make any diference if you leave them all because your dbox will only pick the working one for it.

I got all of them in my dbox and is working perfect.

Hence the reason I just tell people to just leave them be and not delete anything..Well if the box is working ok,then it wont cause you a problem....

It is working. It found 205 channels is this right. I have got the Bouquet for Liverpool where I am. What location on the dbox do I put these and is that all I do to get them to sort the channels out automatically ?

You can either FTP over a bouqet that someone has already upped to the forum or make your own.The later it lets you put in what channels you want and keeps it nice n tidy..A bit time consuming but hey,it lets you get it sorted the way you want it to look..
