this maybe a dumb question but...
Im giving a dbox to my uncle who lives in an old ntl area.
My area had TW.Im setting the box up for him and was wondering if it matters what the service providers were with regards to scanning , now that everything is virgin media ...does that make sense?

Yes, it still matters as the old areas are still on different symbol rates.

Just do a full "slow" cannel scan when u get there BOWK Leave current and change your area on ya box, just went thru same thing from tpest to ex c&w .........
