    silly question about remote

    hi im just wondering if there is a reason why the dbox remote wont wrk and before u ask yes ive tried the batteries and they r ok it was workin fine as i changed channel now it wont work :s

    I had this mate sounds like the remote is shot!!!
    You can pick on up on ebay for a few pounds.......

      thanxs just didnt think the remote would break so quick as i changed channel then went to watch something else and wudnt work

        sounds familiar i have had this a couple of times, take the remote apart and clean the solder behind the infra red bulb with a bit of sandpaper, best of all just retouch with a solder gun...m

            Quick tip

            If you ever need to check if a remote is working, infra red ones that is. If you have a mobile phone with a camera just look at the LED through your camera and press a button the way the camera works will put the infra red signal into the visible spectrum so you can see it light up on your phone. Saves you trashing a remote without being sure.

            I also seem to remember that D-boxes have a remote disable function
