    Post laky install problems

    Hey guys,

    I'm in the Uddingston area and a \/M cust0m3r

I have the Nokia DBox2 and have flashed (through null modem only) the new Laky Stylas x2 image.

When I set my location, nothing happened. In fact, on reboot and scan attempt, I get (NO CHANNELS FOUND, EXECUTE SCAN)

I am having trouble ftp'ing into the box too, which I'm currently working on. Is there anyone who can tell me EXACTLY what I need to do now to "completely 'sort' this box out"

Thanks, I got 4 more waiting and need to 'fix' my own first.

edit: I realise the SEARCH tool is invaluable but have been searching since I joined the forums yesterday and have found nothing matching my problems. Thanks

    Slainte

Have you got a crossover cable for FTPing to box mate ?

If not you can make one from a straight cable like i did.

This isnt as hard as it looks just cut you straight cable in half then reconnect using the diagrams.

okheres the problem. when i connect up the comp to dbox and set ip etc. my LAC says its connected 10.0 MB/s

when i go to ftp client and attempt to connect, it tells me ETIMEDOUT

            wtf

the comp is set to 1 point less on IP than box(.1.109), and I connect in box to .1.110

anyone able to go msn with me for a sec?

You will never connect if its a straight cable mate. You need a crossover cable or its just not going to happen sorry ....

Right here is what a crossover should look like, if both ends are identical (same color to same pin) you have a straight thru

Note: The hook is underneath in all cases and Pin one is always on the Left

                  PIN 1 white orange
                  PIN 2 orange
                  PIN 3 white green
                  PIN 4 blue
                  PIN 5 white blue
                  PIN 6 green
                  PIN 7 white brown
                  PIN 8 brown

                  PIN 1 white green
                  PIN 2 green
                  PIN 3 white orange
                  PIN 4 blue
                  PIN 5 white blue
                  PIN 6 orange
                  PIN 7 white brown
                  PIN 8 brown

                  Let us now
