    Missing Setanta Sports Channels

    Hi all,

Over the past week or so (since the code changing) I have lost the Setanta channels on my eurovox V Max. I was hoping to get them back when I updated the firmware which I did today to no avail. Can anyone help??
Speaking of updating the firmware I downloaded the firmware into the box today and it seemed to download very fast (5-10secs max). I read the instructions and think I have done it right. Is it possible to be that fast
or am I doing something wrong as a friend did it for me last time? The only difference to the instructions was that the instructions stated that four digits will be displayed on the screen whereas I just had the clock displayed.

    Thanks in advance

Agree with Williywilson too quick - Is box on standby? if so turn on should start and dnld will flash on front of box you should have (----) on front display or if its been flashed before you will see 4 digits instead. Re flash it again. Also after re scanning for the channels setanta may be hidden check the BICS channels.
Hope its helped if so please click the thanks button.

I've just tried plugging it again but the same thing happens (Clock showing). I have two issues:
        1) I am flashing the box by linking to my desktop. The box is not connected to the tv or to the ntl.
        2) On my desktop there is only one connector that is shapped to take the Null modem cable. Is it possible that it could be for something else? If so I will have to borrow a laptop.

        Thank again

Sounds like the one to me, check what com port has been allocated.
Go into device manager, then into ports and look at the properties of your cable connection. Set it as Com 1. And select same one for flashin box.

          Reconnect and try again.

It seems to be recognising the Eurovox as if I try to run the firmware without plugging in the eurovox it greys out the download/start facilities. Although I dont understand why the digits arent being displayed.

It will grey out the cancel button because there is nothing there to recognise and waiting for the response of your reciever will be displayed.........digits not being displayed is it on standby(red light on) try pressing standby button on box to turn it on and try again.

Connect to pc with null modem serial cable, plug in eurovox and power on wait till u see (----) if not been flashed before or 4 digits if it has. Run UFL program click download button (top one) Com1 and hit start button. Downloading should start dnld should flash on front of box.

Thanks for all the replies I received. I managed to sort out the flashing problem. I Cleared the data first then plugged it into the pc and it worked. Hopefully after doing another scan it will find the setanata channels.

                    Thanks again.
