You could repair it, what happened did you brick it with a flash?
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams

Hi could you please give a more detailed explanation as to how and why your box is dead - did u try and update it and now its dead? Any lights? codes on display? etc. someone will be able to help you if you give a little more info.

As satsmo said it could be repaired.
Hope its helped if so please click the thanks button.

Can you help out with a Eurovox Max Problem i also have? I have not touched the box at all with puting the New Firmware on and a few days ago i had a new Electricity Meter Fitted. When the Electricity Board turned Mains Power back on it must have had some kind of Surge and knocked ALL Power off to my box. Tried the obvious like Fuse in Plug, took cover off to see iff there was Internal Fuse which there isnt. If these can be repaired what are your suggestions? Any Help Grateful! Thanks.

My eurovox max just died too. opened it up an the capacitor on the pcb, power board had blown. look at c14 on the board as i know of a few people who has had this same problem. the top of the capacitor will be raised if it is blown. I bought 5 replacement capacitors from fleebay for a few quid. soldered in the new one and all is up and running again. capacitor on c14 is 1000uf 6.3v

As Bigbillyjobob says check the capacitor on the power board to see if it is bulging or blown. look at c14 on the board the top of the capacitor will be raised if it is blown. Can be bought from fleebay for a few quid - just solder in the new one and all is up and running again. capacitor on c14 is 1000uf 6.3v.

Who you buying caps from? they are around 10p each.
Good pic by the way, it will help those that dont know what a capacitor is.

What firmware are you flashing it with? And have you tried previous versions?

Not sure if I might be having the same problem.

My eurovox was working ok. I turned it off. But after that, when i plugged it in nothing happened. there are no lights or anything. as far as i can understand, it appears dead. Dont know what has happened. can anyone help
