Are Max v sat and cable firmware the same???

I have a friends "Satelite" Eurovox Max v ,he has asked me to put the firmware on,can someone please tell me if the firmware is the same for the sat box as it is for the cable box?

A Max V is a cable box so use this firmware if you are in the UK Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox Max V UFL Firmware (30/11/08)

It says Sat on the packaging for shipping reasons.

please satsmo could you please post a reply I am looking for help with black max v done 4 boxes fine but the other 2 will not let me flash them can you please tell me what software do I need to get them flashed,how come they all look the same some will take the software and others dont.up the wall trying to find out if they are clones.
