boxes to be off over christmas !

i have just been told by a friend that sky paid for the last software to stop boxes from recoding themselves this is to do with sky putting there channels back on virgin and that they intend to re roll on christmas eve, knowing that it would be too late to sort the problem over this period, the source is reliable lets hope hes wrong
