EuroVox Max Blue Clone error 616E

flashed a Eurovox Max Blue clone with the latest fimrware, worked for a while then this morning when I plugged it back in got the 616E

not sure why it worked when I first flashed it (

My process was

1. flashed it at my PC
2. unplugged the box
3. plugged it back into TV worked all evening on Sly Sports 1
4. unplugged it this morning
5. plugged it back into another TV

now get 616E

any fix for this.

no did it with the new Eurovox Max Blue firmware for the original box - I knew the box was a clone but took the risk anyway and was suprised it worked all evening last night now this morning get this error message, was expecting the error message when I first flashed it yesterday.

You need to flash it with the latest Clonesafe firmware http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...11208-a-19849/ Then do a factory reset and rescan.

when was that released, am sure I couldnt find it last night

can I just reflash it the normal way over the current one.

It was released last night. You will find the loader with it and yes just flash it over the version you have, then do a factory reset.

If you have problems flashing it, Unplug the EV, hit download on the loader,(dnupman), with bin file selected, wait a few seconds and then plug the box back in. Download should start.

I am having similar problems... I have had my EV max for over 2 years now and it has been going well. When NTL changed the channels in April 08, the box supplier provided the UFL for the genuine blue box (UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08.exe) which worked fine until the channels were changed again in November.

The supplier was on extended holiday so I searched the web and found the new UFL for the blue box (UFL_MAX_BLUE_30_11_08.exe) and downloaded it to my EV.

It was working fine until yesterday when a neighbour asked me to sort his EV (same box, same supplier). it was only when I disconnected the EV and powered down to attach to my computer to copy the CDF and it all went wrong...(6E66 error).

Yesterday I discovered that our EVs are clones when searching for a fix for 6E66 error I found this site which explained the differences between the clone and a genuine box.

I have applied the latest clone friendly fix (EVMAX_BLUE_011208_CORE_140207_CLONESAFE.bin) using the loader provided in this thread but cannot do a Factory reset as I cannot get to the menu (black screen, no response from Menu button).

I have tried to tune the Eurovox into the TV via the RF cable as suggested in other threads but tuning the TV doesn't find a signal.

I have found and applied the clone friendly software from April 07 (EVMAX_BLUE_160408_CORE_140207.bin) the error number changed to 5421 but i still have the same problem, can't do a factory reset as I cant see the screen.

Is there another way to do a Factory reset.

All done now, thanks to all prev posts... Manual tune on Old TV found the very weak signal!!!

If YOU had bothered to read all the posts and looked in downloads you would have found what you are looking for.
We can help and point you in the wright direction but YOU need to help yourself by doing a little bit of work yourself instead of expecting to be spoon fed!
