EX5000 autoupdate keys?

hey, ok so iv just updated the firmware on my EX5000 to the latest one by DarX, i input the keys manually for the first time to get it up and running, is that all i need to do? will it now update the keys auto every time they are changed? or do i need sum sort of extra software for the box? i changed one of the letters in the key myself to see if it autoupdated the key but it didnt
