    Eurovox 5000 still missing channels!

    Hi ,

New to the forum. I'm John from Glasgow and hopefully you can answer my question.

I have updated the 5000 with the latest firmware and the channel CDF.

Like many others I am missing Setanta channels. Setanta 1 is actually showing another channel (not sports) and the other Setanta channels are scrambled!

I have tried a deep scan but that just deletes all the channels and once finished shows ' no channels' then I have to go back to the PC and reload the CDF but still no Setanta.

I tried to manually change the frequency but it still didn't seem to pick up Setanta- maybe I didn't input it correctly ?

    Can anyone help?

    John

dont do a deepscan trakes all the transponders try a reflash with the 5000 autosort firmware then just do a normal advanced scan when u do the deepscan it checkes every frequency which u dont need

thanks but it seems whenever I do any kind of scan I lose all my channels and it just comes up with 'no channels found' on my screen. After I re enter the CDF autosort at the PC they are all there again but not Setanta. Would a manual scan help on a dif freq for the setanta channel on my list help or would setanta be there under a different channel name that I can then rename?

Just re flash it mate with the new firmware I have a few problems with mine everynow and again like the channels not auto sorting etc. I ended up just doing a factory re-set then a normal scan and that sorted everything out for me!!

        Hope this helps

cheers have reflashed the firmware and added the CDF at work here. Will take it home tonight, if everything except setanta is there i will do a factory reset and scan and see if everything is there. I have a feeling I will end up with the ' no channels found' message again though......

Thanks for the input. Stupid me forgot to change the frequency to 6887 for my area, hence the reason I was getting no channels on a scan...... DOH!
