Signal Breakup

I am sorry I don't agree. I have a Eurovox PVR EX5000 I am still having the problem of signal breakup.

I have had a splitter connected to TV and Router. I thought it was due to that. Unhooked the two way splitter and now I got the straight connection from one splitter in TV (router disconnected) still having the same problem. I may want to do a scan again, don't believe this will work.

Any suggestions. ! ? ! Cheers !

i too am experiencing pic break up
it has nothing to do with spliters or your internet connection lagging out
nothing at all

basically
the providers at the moment are seriously playing with the feqs moving them arround ect and whatever they are doing to them seems to affect all encripted channels when this happens

i do not know weather they are simpally maintaing there system , or weather its a fight back from them because of the auto update key firmware realised

some times this happens 2 to 3 times a day ,
im having to somtimes run a new power install scan upto 3times in a row just to get the channels back and get rid of the fuzz and interferance

this has only been happening for about a week now

and im not 100% sure its affecting everyone and all box's

but it is a major stress at times
as like i said you have to spend upto an hour and a half sometimes running scan after scan before you can get rid of the interferance

alltho sometimes you do get lucky and 1 scan fix's it

i do hope thats theres some kind of fix on the way for this problem

as its more annoying than having to enter keys (not that i have 2 do that anymore) but same way very annoying and time consuming

infact its pissed me off that much i have brought a 90cm motorised dish and dreambox to get me by while this is down and playing up
(that and to watch propper football)

but to be honest so far ive had more luck with scanning the eurovox box than
i have finding a sat engineer willing to fit my motorised dish for me

so if there anyone in the midlands that know a good sat install guy that deals with the motors then gimmie a shout as that too is pissing me off

and have lost count of the amount of scans i have had 2 run ,

and yes ive had it again this morning and yes ive had to run so far 3 scans and have got rid of the interferance but have not yet found ss12and3 again YET 4th scan comming soon

exept the sky sports channels i still get interferance on them

ok got the channels back sky sports 1 has interferance 2 is fine 3 has interferance news is fine xtra is fine
also all the most of my other channels are fine including setanta some are fuzzy
they are only channel that have interferance

since ive installed the new firmware all my setsanta haz went 2 rat shit im using a max v 2008 model but ive got my brothers max blue 2006 model on in the room & every channel is fine i would love 2 get my own box workin as good as before but sometimes in life u dont always get what u want .

all the problems seem 2 be with eurovox max v 2008 models & if ur in a poor signal area they r not as reliable 2 pick up all the channels like the older models i think the people who made the newer models have used inferior equipment ,my personal opinion.

yeh I agree.

My cos and I use the same box, same firmware and he lives a mile or two away.
Everytime there is a problem I speak to him and he says "its all fine"

Whereas I have signal breakups, sometimes to the extent where it says "No or Bad signal" followed by "Code being updated. Please wait." ????

I tried the autofix, and the new firmware 1/12/2008 released. Deep scan, etc but no luck.... this started last night Sunday 28/12/..

I had feeling that there is no signal. But internet is working.

I tried the Booster as well. Although when I bought it last week the problem had solved itself. Which tells me the booster does not make any difference. !!

I believe the firmware may also not make any different.! I would just have to sit back and watch.... when it will hopefully solve itself like last time.

but I also hope there is a solution...

Hi I have read that a 12db attenuator sometimes fixes the problem, brought one from maplins but still no joy anyone with any ideas as this is really annoying seriously thinking of launching the thing out the window and getting a vermin boxx sub grrr thats how angry Iam

I am in the same boat mate. I have tried few things but dint work for me. So I guess you are not alone. my issue is a little worse. I have lost many channels and loading CDF aint helping ..

try the 8% signal fix from files and fixes in the bigmaq toolbar

maybe he can help ??
