Blue/Red firmware - PVR advice wanted

Hi guys,

Sorry I'm a newbie so I'll apologise if any of this sounds daft!

I notice there are blue/red/black firmware updates for the eurovoxes - how do you know which you have?

On a seperate issue how do people find the PVR version and what should I be looking to pay? Been offered one for ?170......

Blue = 2006 model, Red = 2007 model, Black = 2008 model (Max V). Due to the packaging they came in, (Max V changed to white box later due to cloning issues).

?170 is a bit on the steep side even with HDD included.

Thanks for that - I have one model which is grey/silver - 2006? and another which is black - presumably 2007 as that's when I bought it!

Is the PVR worth the extra money? Been searching since reading your reply and have found it for ?130 - is it easy enough to upload the firmware - it seems relatively simple reading the guide but I don't want to break the box!
