    euro ex5000 pvr problems

    I have a problem with my pvr. i can rec a few programs on the hard drive. but when its left over night and at random times. they all are lost??
    it has been ok for 5 days and woke up this am and its lost them all again.
    has some one else experienced this??

    Not had this problem myself but have you looked at the HDD?, it could be you haven't fully pushed the HDD in or you could try a programme reflash!!...not really heard of it auto wiping but there is always the possibility that because the HDD is not fully inserted that it wipes as it can do if you remove a memory card while in use!

    I'd try re-flashing the firmware as it could be a glitch!!

      Suffer/suffered (don't want to tempt fate) the same problem.

      What I have to do if the recordings go missing is switch the box off at the back, leave it for 30 secs and flick it back on again then press the standby button to switch the box on and the recordings are still there.

      Its a bit of a ball ache but it has worked for the last week or so.

        your not alone mine has been doing the same, recorded a load of stuff to watch over xmass, it all dispeared, the next day . twilight zone.

            I have the same problem but as someone else has already suggested I find that powering the box off/on with the switch at the back magically restores the recordings.

            A pain but it works!! Good luck.

              I have the same problem its been fine till today.Tried all the above sitll not working.One other thing if i press pvr and it shuts the box down.Any ideas

                mines sorted sry guys next time before posting check myself dont trust the mrs.If she had gone into the menu and deleted some of her crap 17 hours on one but alls good now

                  hi all my box is the same recored something one day gone the next i think there might be a bug in the softwear has any one else have this problem its doing my head in as for the pvr on this box i think its a waste of time any comments welcome
