    Eurovox PVR DARX Firmware doesnt update

    Does anyone else have a problem with the latest firmware for the Eurovox Ex5000 PVR? Have tried firmware the 5/12/08 Darx firmware from here and others to no avail. It simply refuses to autoroll the codes! Everytime keycodes have to be manually updated. Is there a problem with the Darx firmware? If you reflash everytime it appears to work okay until the next key roll which doesnt make sense. Rebooting has no effect as most people suggest. No point using latest firmware for this model as it simply will not auto roll, just get Keymaster! Will we get a firmware that works?

      are you allowing it ample time to update on its own as it works fine.

          had no problems with it here works as it should

          try re-flashing yourbox
          Dont eat yellow snow

              Tried Re-Flashing And 30 mins to auto roll

              Thanks for the replies. Have given over 30 mins for auto roll to no avail and have reflashed twice now. Works fine with latest keys. tried turning off and rebooting and different channels to try and force the auto roll. Tried both the 1/12/08 and 5/12/08 firmware with autoroll. Could my box have a fault where it doesnt like the latest firmware? What would you class as 'Ample Time' ???? Do you need to do a 'factory reset' after updating with the DARX firmware? If so, when is the best time to upload your faves back? After update or reset? All was fine on the old firmware and all codes used to update without a hitch, instantly?

                  What does it say in system information.

                  Menu, along to config, you will see it there press ok on system info.

                  If the S/W date reads 18 Oct 2008 for the EX5000PVR then it's flashed with the latest firmware and should auto update.

                  If it has the S/W Version date 15 July then it hasn't flashed and still has your old Firmware on it.

                  If it has flashed to reset your keys go to Menu the OK on Lanuage settings, Type 1968 and again 1968, a new screen will load pull left until you get to NagraVision, Press the YELLOW button for Default Keys. this will reset your keys back to factory default, exit to say sky sports1 and wait 5 mins, if it still doesn't update move to another channel and wait again until it does.

                  Keep doing this and eventually it will update as said providing your S/W is the 18 Oct for the EX5000PVR.
