Brand New Max V 2008 Problem to solve please?

Hi One & All.
I have just had 2 new Max V Boxes delivered today and am having trouble setting them up. Heres what i did. Plugged in, changed symbol rate to 6887 like my other box and did full Power Scan, this picked up all the channels ok.
The problem is when i go on a subscribed channel i get message "Please Insert Smart Card"
Was i supposed to change the Symbol rate?
Could this be old Firmware?
Your feedback would be much Appreciated with a solution!

Do i just put the Firmware on from 30.11.08? There is another two Max V related on Big Maq also to do with 8% Fix & Auto Update. Do i just want the 30.11.08 to get it responding/working?

there is a fix auto fix05/12/2008 that auto sorts ur channels do u no how to flash ur box
