9 pin lead 2 usb

my friend can get hes box 2 update it keep saying fail 2 update flash,does anyone know why its doin this cos it dont do it 4 me but my lead is 9 pins on each end is there anyone that knows why this lead wont work please help

are u leaving it long enough coz it will say download failed then should say download complete after about 30 seconds

You neeed to make absolutely sure that you have a null modem lead,there is another lead that looks identical but its not, in that its wired differently ....

usb drivers

you need correct driver for usb to work correctly also a null modem cable as stated already good luck mate
