codes and tracking question

hey guys,
im thinking of getting myself a eurovox box and signing up with virgin. how do i lock my box so they can not detect it? also which box is the best one to go for? and how often do the codes need updating? even if the box is flashed it still needs new firmware or codes right?...if so how often? i seen virgin are clamping down now and have been making tv adverts about piracy and claiming they can detect top boxes...any news on this? cheers

a eurovox will do the job easy peasy,about 85 quid and thats it you have a propa free view box,virmin media carnt detect nowt,take no notice to all the scare storys,I LUV CABLE TV ITS FREE,thanks to the hard work of the D-Crypt lads,GOD SAVE THE HACKERS.

eurovox 1000sl is the best cheap and one of the latest reciever but i would get a splitter kit so you have vm box and eurovox box. its got about 8-10 blue channels

ye i have a splitter on mine i have virmin modded box downstairs split on the virmin modem lead i pay virmin 40 a month for 20 meg so i rekon they owe me the chanels i get anyways,my eurovox is upstairs,thats on a old comcast box on my front room wall it musta been ther aprox 10 year and is still live, I have just got a free flashed modem aswell you just plug it in and thats it free 20 meg so i might turn my speed down with virmin after the new year and save a few quid.I LUV VIRMIN ME

the spliter just alows you to run 2,3,or 4 boxes off 1 lead ,you can get em off ebay or maplins i think even b and q sell em

i think j tag is what you have to do if you brick your eurovox to get it back to shipped state if you flashed it wrong,if you buy the 1 dank mentioned or the max v,i dont think you can brick it[break it],as if its not the right firmware to flash it says so on the screen and wont let you flash it
