    CDF File Help

    Hi Guys

Apologies if the question is lame, but I have searched and can't find a specific answer. I have my box all set up and the channels are a bit all over the place. I understand that the CDF file will organise these for me, but was wondering where I actually put the CDF file in? I have the necessary cables for my PC but can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

OK, so my box was working fine. I sent the cdf file over to the box but that just deleted all the channels. Can someone please explain. Thanks.

If your box was working fine why did you put the CDF on it????

Just try a factory default then powerscan.

Sorry i'm not making myself clear I have all the channels set up but they are in no particular order. I assumed the CDF is a file that organises the channels into favourites? Or have I totally misread this somewhere? I thought the options were to organise the channels into movies, sport etc yourself or use these CDF files.

its the ex5000pvr - i used the null cable and hooked it up to my laptop, then put the CDF files for birmingham into the UFL loader and then clicked download! when i turned the box back on, all the channels were gone.

i have them all back now, but i assumed you load the CDF file onto the box itself and it re-organises the channels.

              i guess i am wrong

Cheers Dank - giving it a go now. If this doesn't work I will just organise them manually

I see now, you can either sort them on your box or your PC,

To sort them on your Eurovox if you haven't got the autosort F/W press Menu, along to Channels, OK on "Add Favorites", Enter 0000 as your pin then you will see all your channels and a color code for them i.e

                    Red - Popular
                    Blue -Entertainment
                    Green - Movies
                    Yellow - sport.

Highlight the channel by pulling down on your remote and select the colored button on your remote for what category you want the channel to be listed under. Once done exit back to TV and press Fav button and press > on your remote and you will see your channels in category order.

Other way is to do it via the UFL. Upload from your box to your PC then press edit on the UFL, select the CDF then press open. The rest is self explanatory.

Best way is to already have the correct firmware which sorts the Fav into category order as already stated.
