it should be possible m8 i have some hardware that converts old vhs video into mpeg and i can connect my eurovox and dvd player then run the software that came with the hardware and record on to hd so if you get something similar mine is by tevion you connect to the scart but you will need a scart adapter that takes jack plugs sounds complicated but its not dead hard i have a eurovox blue i can record of that it dosent have a hard drive but its the same thing.it can be done.either way you will need some hardware if you get some get back to us and we will sort it.the pic is the hardware.its a good bit of kit got other features aswell like taking a snap shot off a film.it converts into other formats etc, etc, etc.

will the software recognise the hd in the eurovox i have similar hardware for transfering old vhs tapes, the above might work but also as the hd is removable in the 5000pvr you could use it as a external hd and connect to your pc and transfer that way.

Copy+ is an amazing free piece of software that physically copies the recordings off a sky+ hard drive and puts them on a pc (or another hard drive going back into the sky+ box), so the quality of the recording is perfect (as opposed to playing a recording and connecting a scart to a dvd recorder or a usb recorder on a pc).
As the info on the Eurovox is held in the same raw format, Id have a wee look at the Copy+ web site in their questions section to see if the software will do what your looking for with the eurovox hard drive

When you plug the hard disk into the pc, it does not recognise the drive and wants to format it.

This is because it uses a non microsoft format on the disk structure and why you need software like Copy+ to read it ;-)
