    Eurovox EX5000 PVR

Hi to all, just bought a 5000 on ebay, paid ?125 for it, and it works fine. But i am confused re clones, from what i have read here and on other forums it looks like a clone. The seller says currently they are all clones and no genuine boxes can be bought in UK. Is he talking s**t, as dont want box to screw up if i need to update firmware in future.
ps as you can tell from post i am very much a newbie.

    Hi,

I'm pretty much a newbie to this as well and have an ex 5000 pvr. My understanding is that there are NO clones currently of this model. There are clones of the other eurovox models but none I believe of the ex5000.

i just ordered a ex5000 today and was able to talk to the seller as he advertised his number on fleabay, and he also said that currently there are no clone models of the pv ex5000 as yet. Although they will come!

Hi I just got my Ex5000 pvr and am a bit concerned if its a clone or what . and now that i have it the channels on it are not like they are on the providers boxes. e.g vm. they are not sorted in any particular order and what sort of firmware did you use to upgrade it . e.g which programs do you use from start to finish i got a voxer today and ufl loader i think it is . can you help please .I'm ok on Starview boxes but this eurovox first time for me.

            Thanks Z

.TS possibly? Transport Stream. use something like Project X or MpegVCR to demux it into the audio/Video, cut the extra audio stream out then mux them back together for a normal dvd standard MPEG-2 file.

                if they ARE .TS files.....
