    EX1000 OR EX5000

sorry for so many posts guys but i am not sure which box to buy. want to purchase one tonight so any advice would be great. i want one which has tonnes of firmware etc available and has a EPG, user friendly aswell. i heard the EX1000 has no interactive menu or something so not sure if the EX5000 does. i am not to bothered about recording programmes and wont be spending any money on a hard drive or pvr. i have a dvd recorder anway so can always use that. im just looking for a box which is reliable, easy to use, has lots of software available, and has a good EPG for the whole day. cheers guys

i got the pvr 5000 mate and its really great and simple to use the on screen menus, also very fast too. was so pleased i upgraded it two months later and got the hard drive too. one point i would mention is that when the new firmware came out at start of december the ex5000 was one of the first.

I would Recommend the 5000 its realy easy to use and you can upgrage to having a hard drive when you want which lets you pause tv, like sky plus :-p also you can record from your mvie channels

The only problem is, my box has been affected by the december crash and i am having diffculty updating it...Johnboy1974 anychance you could help me with that?

          Hope this helps, Jason.

              EX5000 indeed

Hey mate, I too would strongly recommend 5000. have had it for a six months now and works very well, user friendly and firmware is easily available.

Never used 1000 so cant say but 5000 is brilliant!
              Good Luck!
