i just wanna be 100% sure i know how to do this before i buy a box (hopefully monday) so here goes...
i plug my box into pc via null modem cable. i run the firmware 05-12-2008 (unless a newer one is out by then). let that upload to the box. turn it all off... connect it to tv and VM box. delete all the channels, do a factory reset, enter the TW key for my city, do a powerscan, then once scan is completed i wait 30-40 mins for the channels to unlock.
is this correct or do i need to do anything else?
also will the 05-12-2008 firmware autoupdate or will i have to manually enter keys every day?
