    Eurovox Max v problem

Hi there, i am in need of help.

i have two eurovox max v's and both were not working, so have flashed one with the latest firmware from 05.12.2008 and it was accepted fine and is working like a treat( thanks fo rhte firmware for this). but the problem is with the other box.

i hooked it up to my pc and when it wass time for the 4 digits to appear it only brough up 0000(unlike the other box which did have 4 digits) and so proceeded to flash and it said successful but then again it just shows 0000 and when i hook it up to my tv aagain and done the full reset, and then went onto scan for channles the top grren bar goes fine up to 90% but the lower one does not move thus not finding any channels, and is frustrating to say the least so any help would be sooooo much appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you tried 6952 as some parts of Glasgow are NTL and others Telewest.

Also have a read through this > http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...settings-9789/

its not 6952 as that is telewest as i was originally ntl and i have read and followed through the eurovox scanning settings word for word and when i click on ok after making sure my values were right to start the channel search the level bar goes 1% then shows 98% alternating, but the quality bar never moves iff 1%

Id be tempted to reflash, reset to factory defaults, delete all channel data, and do another power / deep scan. Only then Id start to panic.
As you say, if one box is working, then you obviously know what key to use.
Before doing a re-flash, have you reset box to factory defaults and deleted the channel info all ready on it ?
That may save you a re-flash...

If your sure your NTl then fine but you would be surprised on how many get it wrong.

Is your cable feed plugged into the RF in and not the ANT socket at the back of the box. it's easily done. You could also try uploading the CDF from your working box and then downloading that to the problem box. If you decide to do that make sure you do a factory default on the problem box before downloading the CDF to it.

                  yeah i have done all the information you have provided;

hoowever when i purchased the box i had the same problem, only the one bar was moving, the guy in the shop said it was faulty software, and he claims to have updated it, yet still have this problem that was back in june, it worked but then when the ntl boxes all went off, this problem has arose, if this helps

I know you said your other box was working but you could have entered the wrong symbol rate on the second box which is why I asked, I was just making sure.

Download and read through this > Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox CDF Guide

Take the CDF from the working box and put it on your non working box.

ok i have done that and when i re-connect the non-working box it now says no signal where there should be a channel showing.

Do a factory default then flash with this > 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download UFL_MAX_V_30_11_08.exe

Once flashed do another factory default and powerscan using the scanning guide as before.

ok done as you said and the scanning section is still shwoing the top level indicator as fluctuating between 5% and 98% and the bottom quality bar is now at 5% instead of 1% but the box is still showing 0000 on it.

Have you plugged this box in the place of the other working box and tried scanning or is it in a different room in the house.
