same room, same connection cause i flashed them both at the same time they are both here using the same cable connection, same scart connection(obv alternating as when im trying them)

Only thing I can suggest is factory default again and flash with this > 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download UFL_MAX_V_8%_01_12_08.exe

This is a F/W for people with the 8% signl problem but it might work on your box. What have you got to loose.

no still not working still showing the 4 0000 and not moving on the quality bar.

Does it work if you put the old Firmware back on from april.

Edit; I presume you are scanning after every flash via Menu, Installation, User installation, as it will say 0000 until the channels have been scanned in.

went with the april one taakes both percentage to 4% but signal fluctuates up to 98% but quality doesnt move from showing 4% and also still 0000 on front of box after flashing, and when i re-connect the cable aerial and scart lead it comes up no signal then searching but doesnt find although the working box is working using the same aerial feed.

I presume you are scanning after every flash via Menu, Installation, User installation, as it will say 0000 until the channels have been scanned in.

Use settings as below.

Start 100.00mhz
stop 850.00mhz
SymR 6887 Mbaud
SymR 0.000Mbaud
SymR 0.000Mbaud
SymR 0.000Mbaud
Step 8
Fav Sort Yes/No.

Does it pick up any transponders what so ever.

no nothing at all, and has been scanning for 10 mins each time to see if it will pick up anything, but i think it is something to do with the bottom bar on the searching screen as on my working box both bars were going between 0 and 98% and this one doesnt and also the 0000 on the front of the box as that seems kinda default whereas the other box does have a actual number

Do another factory default and change the symbol rate to 6952, I know you say you was NTL but we have tried every other idea.

nope nothing under 6952, its frustrating the hell out of me, esp as the other one works fine, i just dont know what else there is left, apart from taking a hammer too it, or letting it meet mr wall

To be honest mate im out of ideas, was it working fine before flashing.

well like i said it wasn't working, same problem, took it to the shop locally and the guy there said it was dodgy software and he changed it(dunno what he meant by this) and it worked fine until the big problem with ntl hit and all the boxes went down since then i cannot get it back going.

If your other box is working fine in the place of that one and you have done as said then I can only presume your box is ~~~~~~~~ed mate, probably a tuner problem, you have had all the correct Firmware installed also CDF's and it still dead, I personally cant think of any other ideas, you could try the older Firmware 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download UFL_MAX_V_06_09_07.zip and manually update but I dont hold out much hope for it, we have gone through every other firmware available.

Best of luck, someone else may have some other ideas.....
