Need some advise

Just after some answers please, hope you guys can help as i'm new to all this, and is there anything i should be told about the eurovox 1000 to make life easier, so here goes.
Can you tell me what all the BICS channels are. When i put some of the channels on i get the message up dating the codes is this normal, and will the codes update i have the eurovox ex1000sl, Can you also tell me, i'm using the virgin media connection but i don't have any virgin media services, as it's an old line that runs into my house, am i best to get some sort of service or not, so they don't detect activity on the line (if you know what i mean) or can they detect any activity???? just a few question's that i was wondering about, there may be more LOL

i think bics channels are just test channels that virgin use for future use your box doesnt have talk back so they cant tell your using there service but i have heard that VM are using an ouija board to contact ghost to go into peoples houses and check for boxs heard it from a reliable source they wouldnt lie to me
