cheeeeers for the good news, when you say there is no fix, does that mean the box is now as dead as a dodo.

i have seen other firmware around, (would this firmware turn a clone into a brick ??)

        keys

yes ! flashing a clone box with genuine f/ware could brick your box so you either keep entering keys or take a chance .i would keep entering keys for the time being you never know what might come up with sunrise .

What makes you think you have a cloned SL1000? Is this the box you have?

yes thats the one, as i said i am really new to this game, i got this box early novmeber, everything was working fine, then come december all the scrambled channels went.

does it matter what area you live in the uk, in live in the reading area,

thanks for all your help so far.

Use this firmware as you already said Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox 1000SL UK Fix 011208

These guides will help you with the flash procedure:

              Any problems drop back.

download the firmware, connect the box using the null cable and now everything seems to be fine.

a couple o questions though , when i connected pc to box and then pluged in the power cord on the Eurovox (nothing came up on the front display)

but as i said everything now seem to be working fine.

also what are the PVR euroboxes like ?

                thanks once again for help.

Eurovox EX5000PVR is the same as the Max V but with the ability to record if bought with the HDD, not a twin tuner but you can record and watch another channel if it's on the same transponder/frequency. I have one and it's worth every penny.
