    eurovox ex5000 pvr

    i have a ex 5000 latest firmware loaded with auto sort 5/12/08 in telewest merseyside my box is not picking up transponders any help please

    Hi mate, Have you tried scanning on both symbol rates 6887 and 6952?
    Sometimes a slow gradual approach does more good than a large gesture.

      im in merseyside are symbol rate is 6952 tried everthing i have a dream box and a max v all workin this one got me stumped

        There's been a few ppl of late having problems with the eurovox of this nature, Personally I prefer the starview 4 box. Did you load the f/w on the box or did it come pre loaded? You could try applying factory settings and re flashing the box, Then giving the scan another go. Also you could try turning off the internal signal booster and re scanning.

          Just an aferthought mate, have you tried you max V on the cable feed that your ex 5000 is hooked up to?

            yes its on same feed signal is fine im gettin fta channels i just dont understand it thanks m8 for ur time

              So you're getting the fta channels, Is the box finding any tp's at all when you perform a scan? Or is it not picking anything at all up?

                no its not picking any thing up the feed is getting fta on another box i have four feeds all fine i play with different boxes m8 no matter wot feed i use still no transponder on this box

                  It might be worth taking it back to factory settings and reflashing it mate just to see if you get any different results, defo sounds like an issue with the box if your other ones are working ok.

                    Another suggestion if the re-flash doesn't work is to upload your CDF from your Max V then download it back to the EX5000PVR. Before doing so make sure you have done factory default on your ex5000.
