eurvox max v scans but not getting any chanels

hi all,

i have eurovox max v 2008 black box. one of my friend has given me as faulty. trying to fix it out. but when i flashed it tried to scan but didn't get any chanels after finishing scan. what could be the reason. can any body explain pls. many thanks

first and it may seem a stupid question, but you have got a live cable feed?

yes we have live cable feed. another box working. tried the same firmware on two different box one working but this one not getting any chanels. pls help

Backup the channel data of the working one and put it on the other one and see if you get any picture try fta channels first

backed up the working box & upload the back to faulty one. still says no signals.

press info twice and see what the signal quality is if its 8% put the 8% au software fix on it

checked with info button twice. level is 99% & quality is 99%. next?

Your signal strength is way too high, either high or low can cause problems when scanning.

Press Menu, config, system info and type back what's in there.

when i pressed menu-config-system information got the following details.
model: DVB-XC Box vtda
s/w ver: 1.0stc 4 Apr 8 2008
h/w ver: 2.01k5
boot strap v001
s/f build: kuro

Can you tell me when you go into installation, does it have an option to Deep scan?

Edit: I presume the s/w ver: IS= 1.0st4 Apr 18 2008 and not s/w ver: 1.0stc 4 Apr 8 2008 as you originally posted?

when i press user installation it says fast installation underneath it says advance installation. if press back on that page it's all four options like: update chanels, manual scan, power scan.

the s/w version as you said.

As above please read carefully, when you Press-- Menu--then pull right to Installation the box that loads below does it give you an option to DEEP SCAN.
