i think we need to make this a sticky!!
you really DO NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOOUT THIS.
virginmedia knows that dodgy receivers pick up all the info coming down a cable line whereas the official boxes screen it out and only show the channels.
Therefore Virginmedia, send this signal down the line because they know that only dodgy boxes will be able to see it and that people may be silly enought to ring the number they put here.

They are all fuzzy and can't make the picture out, some of them are ok, Mainly Beeb 1 & 2 channel 4 are all mashed up

Normally it only comes up with the updating codes screen but this time my clock went and it kept saying no signal, so I powerscanned it and some of the channels came back but not all....

fuzzy? do you mean blocky? if so have you got a driect cable between the box on the wall and your eurovox? with no splitters?
also try rescanning and see if that helps

check your connections before you do any thing else.
also if you have just put new firmware on it it would be wise to do a factory reset then power scan.

I have no splitters on just one cable, and as I said I rescanned and it didn't seem to help, maybe time for a new box ??

I think it's a eurovox max? and nothing has been added to it since I bought it a couple of years back, I'm a bit of a technophobe....

you need to get it flased with the new firmware and you will get all you premium channels back, have a good read through the red stickys at the top of the page ,this will help you a lot .
                              read this one first.

                              then read this one.
