How often do people get caught?

From what I gather, it's impossible to get caught unless someone physically visits your house. The actual Eurovox boxes are legal, it's just the firmware that's illegal. Correct?

If you leave your existing box connected all the time, it won't ring any alarm bells at VM. Correct?

I've been a VM custoler for 6-8 years, so I'm guessing I'm fairly trusted...

Do you know of anyone who got caught? Have you ever been caught yourself? Any close scares?

    How often do 'raids' happen?

I'm new to all this, and just trying to build up my knowledge.

1.blank boxes are legal flashed boxes are not.2.leave vermin box connected because of talk back.3 not heard of anyone getting caught only the sellers of the boxes.4 not heard of any raids on peoples homes.5 plus they need a warrant.6 they can only tell if something is suspect from the box in the street from the bandwidth

why all the different posts on each box mate? and then another seperate post to ask this? all of this could have been contained within one. thread you actually answer your own question when you state its personal preference.

I?ve always thought that it was legal to have these boxes even with a circumnavigating firmware on it. I just thought it was illegal to sell it in that state or indeed connect it to VM network without their permission.

If you have one of these boxes then it is my understanding that they need to catch it physically connected to their network for you to be breaking the law.
