    channel edit on ex7000

i have downloaded the ex7000 editor from downloads section and i am using a usb with serial adapter. when trying to upload stations from box to pc its says its `waiting`
i left it on for 7 hours and nothing.
the box says that com 3 is connected but nothing coming through. does anyone know what to do to edit channels on pc rather than on the box itself

Ive found the best way is to insert your usb pen into the box then go to the usb section on menu and upload your channel.tbn. Then connect the usb pen to your pc and use STBM to edit your channel.tbn then when done save it and flash it back to the box.

Just managed to sort my channel guide out - well getting started as soo many channels to move...

I have noticed I am missing virgin 1 and sky premiere...

I have notivced that in past if i update channels it usually finds them...

However.... there is no update facility????

IS one to be built into next version of firmware please???

Hi, Will STBM allow me to edit my channels.tbn and can I then simply upload it using USB key? I'm new, got box the other day and have channels all over the place. To do this manually using the remote will take weeks! Thanks in advance.

Jakes, press enter to get channel list up, then press yellow to filter, go to sort order - ABC then red to save - makes it easier to delete duplicate channels.

Hi. I have just received my new EX7000 HD+ and it's great, much better than the MaxV. The only snag, can't sort all the channels. The favorites manager seems to work and groups 1 to 4 seem OK but the rest all contain duplicates or just do their own thing - very odd!!!

Does anyone know if there is an easier way to sort favorites or when the next firmware update is due

Help !! Am I doing something wrong

To sort out my many channels, I have followed the advice above and downloaded STBM which is a great sorter and editor. However whenever I transfer the finished file, via USB back to my EX7000, I get beautifully sorted and renamed channel lists ... but none of them actually worked - no signal. I've had to re-scan and try again, this time making a backup of the Channel.tbn file uploaded to my USB. The file edited - just a quick sort - with STBM failed again - nice lists but nothing working. Restored the backup (not edited) all is well..

Am I doing something wrong or have I got a faulty copy of STBM ?? Anyone else had this problem ??
