    Max V newbie

    Hi All

New to these things so struggling a bit. My sis has bought a Max V which i have concluded is the black 2008 model. since buying the codes have changed i think, given that the Atmega cards went down at the same time. Think it might be las November or December 08.

What exactly do i have to do.
Got the cable and PC but am bewildered by the software.

Do i need new Firmware and if so which one.

Once i have it do i need to d/load anything else for the code changes or is that it?

    Thanks in advance.

This is the firmware you need mate, Just open the ufl (f/w) and let it find the box when you have connected it to the pc and hit download. Make sure box is in standby.

Follow these jimmymack, any problems mate come back.

To answer your other question : once you have flashed your box you will not need to enter the codes.

Edit: evening Lanxman, YOU beat me!!!!.

Try now as you have to make at least one post before you can download, hope you stick around after you do.

                            ok,

cable plugged in with box in standby, firmware progrm saw the box as v2.0, flashed it - took about 3 mins.

then i did a deep scan - took about 40 mins.

and now it all appears to work

                            good stuff!

now there are lots of duplicated channels - is it just a case of going through and deleting them in the manual tuning setup?

Yeah mate just delete the duplicates, although a deep scan may not have been needed but at least you have your channels. Enjoy.
