Ok mate, it should work when your done, its a common fault but as said you will need to tune your TV in when the RF cable is connected (dont forget).
Problems since updating software

Ok I am scannin now with the RF cable connected, but its not even vaguely scanning the channel in.
Is it worth doing the same with a box that works and then reconnecting to the bricked one?Comment

Looked on ebay for solderless jtag kit.
I have emailed two sellers to see if it will solve the problem, one says probably and the other says no and I will have to send the unit to him.
Who is more likely to be telling the truth?Comment

If your seller will exchange the box for you mate, I think this is the best course of action before you jtag.
Sometimes a slow gradual approach does more good than a large gesture.Comment

HiTeck,
Can I just double check that the RF goes from the aerial socket on the tv and into the RF in socket on the eurovox (having disconnected the live cable feed)
Just in case I have messed up.Comment

Just got your PM geordiepaul,Originally posted by geordiepaul2005Hi mate,
Did I do your fix right by connecting the rf cable from the aerial socket to the rf in on the eurovox?
Thanks for all the help
You connect the RF cable to the TV/VCR socket at the back of your box not the RF socket.
The RF socket is for your cable feed.
Change them around and then tune your TV in.Comment

Ahhh right, thanks for that - presuming it wont make a difference if the cable feed is in or notComment

Thanks again.
I have 2 bands to choose from on the tv - c and s.
I have tried a full scan on s with no joy and I am waiting for c to complete now.Comment

It almost tuned in but the picture was extremely blurry. I tried to fine tune back to it and it wont pick up the signal again. Still scanning in hope....Comment

One of my mates had the same trouble - tried installing loads of different firmwares for it but nothing worked. I think a J-Tag is the only option, either that or fork out for a new box I'm afraid.Comment
