I've never heard of that but it may be possible??
Sometimes a slow gradual approach does more good than a large gesture.

Yes it is possible but you will need to buy a jtag kit a max remote as the original wont work and flash with the blue firmware. Best to stick with the EV2 firmware thanks to sunrise.

You can do this easy enough for the vast majority of ev2 without a jtag. It was a sunrise fix first time round. Some ev2 boxes (based on the chipset of your receiver) wont flash with the built in loader. Most I have done have required to use the initial 8fav dnupman and the clone safe release.

You may wish to flash with the initial ev2 clone safe release first and then upgrade. Personally can see why the last clone safe release wont work straight off though.

You dont need a jtag kit (although sunrise also released a jtag fix and once applied it will flash no problems with the unified loader) but you will defo require a max remote.

EV2 remotes are very hard to come by so this is useful. Also think the max fix was more stable than the ev2.

SunRise appears to have hung up his cable hat so its probably unlikely that there will be any fixes for these boxes next time round. Easy to input keys though.

Eurovox 2 remote are available here >> Freeview EUROVOX2 EUROVOX replacement remote control @ ?9.95 only - tv television video vcr dvd UK europe

I agree it is possible without the jtag but out of the 7 I have done 4 of them was j-tagged and are still working fine, the other 3 I have had to take 2 of them back and jtag and flash again.
