how do i know if its a clone box?

have the bro's box and tried to fix it with d new fix but i cant get it to find a transponder, i was thinkin cud it be because it might be a clone box, wud i have put the wrong software on it maybe and that cud be causin it not to find a transponder, but it connected up to the loader no probs, help plzzzzzz

First of all, we're not mind readers. You need to give as much info as possible.

What model? Eurovox 1, 2, MAX, Blue, Red?

and tried to fix it with d new fix

What fix? What firmware?

If the box is working and powering up ok, you've probably done it correct. Not finding a transponder, maybe you're searching on the wrong frequencies, wrong symbol rate.

What area are you in? Does another box work on the same feed? Have you tried the box at a different house?

have u got the feed in the back top left .. u wont be the first to get it in the wrong hole .. ask my wife

i have the cable in the rf in, its a eurovox max, i used the euro vox max v flash loader as the red and blue wud not allow me to connect. i fixed a mates box the sane type no problem and my dreambox works fine on this signal. i'm in dublin on ntl and scan on 6887 as i did on my friends but it just wont pick up any transponder, cud it be a clone maybe???

the v isnt made for a max . sure its not a eurovox 2 .. is it just silver or black and silver ? u in england . telewest or ntl
