Are you using the null modem cable alone or with a serial converter?

i'm having a siliar problem with a eurovox max v 2008. ive flashed loads of boxes before doin it the same way.

first it detected the box, the display lights started circling, as if it was just turned on, then nothing. since then its struggled to detect it.

ive recently changed my supplier, as the boxes i was getting were clones but im pretty certain this is an original.

            any ideas?

            thanks

As you said earlier you are using a "straight" cable. You need to use a null modem cable which has a cross over config.
