Warning Letter

Hi all i bought a HD eurovox two weeks ago from a well known internet company not sure wheather i am allowed to name the company today i recieved a letter from vergen that it has been brought to our attention that someone has purchased and may be using an unauthorised set-top box it goes on to warn of legal action or suspending our services without notice any advice would be appreciated as i am worried about it

How about scanning this letter, blank out your name and address etc and post it in this thread for us to view..?

As we know it is not illegal to buy a digital receiver and when it arrives at your house it is not configured to pick up premuim digital tv services.. Its what you choose to do with it afterwards that makes it dodgey and then only when it is connected to their services...

But i for one would like to start seeing these letters scanned and posted online before the thread/discussion gets to finger pointing status.. Its not that I don't believe they exist, its just that I am nosey and want to see one...

I havn't got a scanner but i will ask around and see if i can get someone to scan it failing that i will type out the full letter .

It is quite possable that the have been scanning your area and have detected your viewing channels without the means to do so, and as they are the only cable network in your area they know that its there service your using. They could have also detected extra draw on there service in your neighbourhood and have linked this back to your domain, A letter of course will be the first step (in the hope that you will disconnect) possable another letter in a week or two followed by a visit from a representative, if they are not satasified they will remove connection from the street to your domain.

This has happened to myself in a rented appartement many years ago, its a bo!!ox.
