Eurovox EV 2 crashing problems

Hi Guys
I'm running a 2006 EV2.
Never had a problem flashing the box with the april 2008 and dec 2008 Au updates.
However after the april 2008 flash my box started to become unstable,and i used to turn it on from standby from the pervious night to find a green screen,a quick reboot fixed it.
Now however my box will just crash to a green screen quite frequently,usually when i least want it to.
A reboot does the trick but it is getting annoying.
I have tried various ways of reflashing,powering down,factory reset,all combinations,still can't fix problem.
Anybody got any solutions?

your box can be improved by flashing blue firmware into it but you will need a max remote but won't go green

It's not as simple as that alex,if i try to flash with any blue firmware.
a message appears on the loader saying the firmware is not for my reciever and just does a system reset not letting me download.

yes some ev2 will say that there is a file called ev2 bluecore ( not sure if its on this forum or not ) even an old file should go in ok then try the blue failing that you could jtag

i'm running that at the moment satsmo.
it just seems to have made the crashing issue more frequent.

The only other thing to do is as Alex has said Jtag it and then use latest Max blue firmware and max remote.

Other than that revert to an older firmware if you can but you will be back to manual code entry again.

How old is your box now, (not saying to get rid of it but I say it has served you well).

I've had the box 3 years now,it's only a bedroom spare,but i love learning about these things and will take it as a personnel challange to fix it.

Hi Guys
I've managed to convert my EV2 box to a max blue.without jtaging.
Thanks to alex and satsmo for their advice.
First using the dnupman v4 loader got a ev max blue core file into it so max remote works, then again with dnupman v4 downloaded the euro bluemax pack 24/04/07.downdloaded my cdf channels and all works fine.I
've had to update codes manually as the AU fix blue 30/11/08 comes with the UNF loader,which my box won't except.
Can anybody tell me how to extract the au fix from the UFL
loader and put it in to my dnupman v4 for downloading to my box and the conversion will be complete!

hi mate
glad your working now but your box should now take the ufl blue
you can't extract the bin file from ufl as it was made to fool clones

Tried the ufl blue again and still get the message firmware is not fit for your reciever,not allowing me to download.
don't have any problem downloading the older blue firmware with the dnupman v4.
Any ideas

all i would suggest is try the ev2bluecore 16/04/08 or was this the file you used ,failing that its jtag am afraid

Yes mate that was the file i used.
don't think jtag will benefit anything as digging deeper i've found
that the unf will not work on an ev2.
The last au fix for ev2 in dec 08 came with a dnupman v4.
