flashing eurovox max v - the receiver was not detected

Hi, sorry if this has been covered elsewhere have tried searching for a solution.

Im using a usb to null cable adaptor and have had trouble loading a driver. Ive now got one loaded to COM 4 and now when i press download to update the firmware it comes up with the receiver was not detected.

ive tried turning the box off and on. any suggestions?

is my box a clone? how do i tell?

    cheers

Hi mate, I am new here myself but have had some experience with these adaptors (they usually don?t work too well).

I guess you don't have a COM port on your computer otherwise you would not be going down this route, but my advice would be to borrow a computer with a COM port and I am sure that will prove the adaptor is at fault
