Eurovox 5100 Compatible Hard Drives

Firtly apologise if this has been asked b4.

I have a 5100 and am trying to install a HD to use the PVR function. I have now tried 3 different brands, Toshiba, IBM, HP Branded. All three tried in Raw format and fomatted with single partition in FAT 32 format but nothing seems to work

So i thought lets ask the question and try to pull together a list of what HDD work with these boxes, if they only work with Seagate there must be a reason such as spec, geometory etc

That said i have tried a

Hitachi Travelstar 60GB 4200rpm
Toshiba(HP Branded) 30GB 4200rpm
IBM (HP Branded) 30GB 4200rpm

None have worked

I used an unformatted WD 120Gb, PATA and it worked OK

seagate mometus 120 gb ide is recommended hd wd scopio also works

OK peeps a quick update - tried a seagate momentus 160GB and it did not work, however after using a hd util to hide 40gb hey presto it worked straight away

I'm sure I read that 120GB is the max capacity you can use.

120 is the maximum hardrive any bigger regardless of make won't work
