    Recommended suppliers, please?

    Hi,

I have found one post so far asking about recommened suppliers.

I am looking for a eurovox, or dream box reading about them they are just as good or better most say.

I just need to know of a good place to buy, what websites offer a good service, dont steal or rip people off and dont sell clones (as it seems a cloned box dosnt work so well).

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

clone dreamboxes can be as good as the originals, i understand clone voxs are not... Not sure where to buy a vox but i am informed that satstore sell gen dm boxes...

Dreamboxes are opensource and offer you to the best chance in future and have the nest support, a vox is closed source box and you are reliant on the manufacturer to come up with the firmaware to 'fix' it.

      Hmm ok then,

Dreamboxes are sounding more appealing now, i must say.

Question is now what to buy, i have a budget of ?100 ish though i don't mind going an extra 20% it means getting a box that has a few more +'s than its older brother.

      What box would you recommend?

          I see,

So what sort of life could i get out of a vox?

More than 2 years would be fine for me, thinking about it a year probs be enough. Atleast for all the chanels.

Amazon market place have sellers is the cost of these good?

              [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eurovox-EX5000-120GB-Seagate-Drive/dp/B001MJTULS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1234393123&sr =8-5]Eurovox Max EX5000 PVR with 120GB Seagate IDE Hard: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo[/ame]

                Vastly inferior machine.

Designed for technophobes and the illiterate.

The Dreambox 500 is far better.

if you do decide to go for a eurovox mate, I recommend going for the ex5100. Production of geniune 5000's stopped due to the abundance of clones coming out mate. The ex5100 was released to counter these clones.

As Laxman said if you want a PVR go for the 5100 so your safe, its not for technophobic or the illiterate take no notice , you may have to wait for the firmware as mentioned by caveman_nige but they are usually very fast with them mate.

Wouldn't advise buying through Amazon, would be too many unwanted records of your purchase for my liking.

If you're not interested in HD, the EX5100 is the best one to go for if you're a newbie.
