Id heard the sky rumours as well, but, why on earth would a firm help the opposition ?!
It would be utter financial madness for Sky to give their HD channels to their biggest rival - its not as if NTL / Telewest (which is what it is, irrespective of the Virgin branding) have offerd so much for them that Sky couldnt turn it down - they dont have 2 beans to rub together to pay for them - NTL's debts alone are still around the 2 billion mark.
Sky having all the HD channels would force peoples hands, making them turn to Sky if thats the only option avail to them, so I just cannot get my head around this - unless it was a rumour started by Virgin themselves !

sky have about 28-30 HD channels already when vm have about 5 HD channels in april plus about 10 more late 2009/2010 sky still are in the better position
